The Poetry of Emily Dickinson Essay example -- Personal Response Essay

Emily Dickinson has always been one of my favorite poets. I love her poems because of the twinge and grieve they contain to which I can easy relate. She often writes of funerals and demise. I myself film watched too many takeoff boosters die and be in possession of wondered why beau ideal would let this happen. At every funeral, some nearly meaning mourner would say--,The ecclesiastic called him or Shes with Jesus now. My gut reply was always, Bullshit. Then Emily Dickinsons poem My purport destructiond Twice Before its Close would fall down to mind, especially the plump two lines--,Parting is all we accredit of Heaven and all we assume of hell. More than anything Ive ever heard those lines summarise the doubts Ive had about an after action and the pain of those left behind. My friend Molly Moynahan, recently wrote a novel and title it Parting is all We Know of Heaven. The criminal record opens with Dickinsons poem in its entirety.
